Predictability

I can’t emphasize enough how much kiddos appreciate predictability in their lives. Even if they resist it at times, it’s okay. This doesn’t mean that it should be abandoned. Just the security of knowing what will happen and when essentially grounds our children’s lives.

There’s so much unknown, so much that’s new for them to experience every day, being able to fall back on routines at homes that they know well, is a real comfort. 

This can be woven into many different things, but surely includes:

-Bedtime Routines

-School Day Morning Routines

-Moving Back and Forth Between two Houses

-Meal Routines

-Helping Around the House Expectations

-Screentime Expectations

-Travel Routines
