Punishment

Punishment doesn’t work.

Teaching does.

Our children are always developing their skills. And this kind of learning doesn’t happen overnight or after one time talking about it.

No, skill-building instead takes time and practice. They’re watching your example and imitating you. And they’re listening, too.

This may be a bit of a reframe - your children are not trying to not learn what you want. Nor are they trying to drive you crazy.

They’ve simply yet to develop the skill (growth mindset) you’re looking for. So, take note of what they need to work on and support their learning.
