The Beauty of Flexibility

When you’ve got a plan in place and it’s clearly not working, giving up on it is not failing. It’s actually a display of resilience. You’re showing your kids how to shift when things aren’t working out.

Sometimes as parents we’re (knowingly or unknowingly) attached to the plan, but if we hold on too tightly, we’re modeling rigidity. And it’ll only get worse.

Don’t persevere with a route that isn’t working. Instead, stay focused on the goal but flexible on the path. Your children will not only thank you in the end, but learn a whole lot more from you about how to be in this world.
