Week by Week
Kids appreciate organization, knowing what to expect and what’s coming up for them. In this way, lay out a visual for them so they can see their week. This can be especially helpful during the school year when they’re more tired from long days at school.
Every Sunday, take ten minutes to write out each day’s activities on a whiteboard where they can easily read it and see it. Then, go over it with them and ask if they have any questions.
Also, listen to their responses. Do they groan at something you thought they loved? Do they think it’s too much? What do they get most excited about?
