Gratitude

If this is a value of yours, one that you want to pass down to your children, be sure to message this to your children in a consistent way.

Share what you’re grateful for. Sometimes, things that’re very, very small. Sometimes big overarching blessings you find your family has.

Also - include moments that have nothing to do with accomplishment or DOing. Ones that more celebrate BEing together.

Examples:

I’m grateful for the moments we lie next to each other quietly, like yesterday morning, not even talking.

I feel lucky to be here when you walk in from school and to see your face.

When you reach out to hold my hand, it makes me feel trusted and I love that feeling.
